The degenerate-dystrophic defeats of backbone in athletes very often are direct contraindication for continuation of training process or for it's limiting. The osteochondrosis even more often applies for the leading part among these diseases. Despite of existing measures of prophylaxis there is a steady tendency to the rejuvenascence of the contingent of athletes sick of osteochondrosis. Underestimation of this disease and wrong treatment of its signs can result the end an athletes career. The author represents various opinions about osteochondrosis and puts forward the own theory for this disease treatment.
