Comparison of recovery methods and their relationship to sleep and performance in biathletes during a training camp
(Vergleich von Erholungsmethoden und deren Zusammenhang mit Schlaf und Leistungsfähigkeit bei Biathleten während eines Trainingslagers)
This bachelor`s thesis compares recovery methods and their relationship to sleep and subjective wellness indicators in biathletes during a four-day training camp. The aim is to identify strategies that participants perceive as most effective under high training loads. The research involved ten biathletes. The methodology includes qualitative interviews and the analysis of data from sleep questionnaires with wellness indicators. The findings reveal differences in recovery preferences and emphasize the importance of individualized approaches to regeneration and sleep in preventing fatigue, protecting cognitive functions, and maintaining optimal performance.
